How do I unlock a lock?

Open the Beambox Lock app, sign in, and hold your phone against the lock. Your phone's NFC field powers the lock and authenticates the encrypted key. The lock opens in about 2 seconds.

What if the lock doesn't respond?

The lock is battery-free and powered by your phone's NFC. If it doesn't respond, keep your phone still and centered on the lock for a few seconds. If it still doesn't work, move your phone away for 5 minutes to let the lock reset, then try again with a single attempt.

Which phones are supported?

Any NFC-enabled smartphone running iOS 15+ or Android 8+. This includes all iPhones from iPhone 7 onwards and most Android phones manufactured after 2018.

How do I rent a locker?

Open the app, go to the Rent tab, and search for nearby lockers using GPS or enter a locker group code. Select your cubby size, choose a duration, and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card. You'll get unlimited NFC access for the rental period.

How do I pick up a package?

You'll receive a notification when your package is ready. Open the app, go to the Pick Up tab, and enter your order number, email, or phone number. Follow any security instructions, then hold your phone to the lock to open it.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS in transit. Lock communications use rolling encrypted keys (patent pending) with server-side authorization. Every access event is logged with cryptographic hash chains for tamper-proof audit trails. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my account?

Email privacy@beamboxlock.com with your account email address and we will process your deletion request within 30 days.
